INCURSIONI Performances in Urban Spaces
Site specific urban performance cycle
project and direction Elvira Frosini
with Elvira Frosini, Alessia Marini, Barbara Antonelli, Gianluca Cabula, Francesca Mancini, Ilaria Patamia, Giacomo Calabrese, Vanessa Bissiri
Cycle of performance interventions and installations in urban spaces, buildings, public spaces, streets, squares, specific industrial spaces. The work focuses on the presence and action of bodies in space, in the relationship that is created with space and with the "unconventional" public, with the gap that is created in the sense of the specific place through presence and action of bodies. The interventions change the sense of space in new directions, such as perception and the imagery linked to space, and the use of space from discounted to unusual, implanting different senses and images in the viewer who is looking, crossing, listening, act in the place. Places and images are exposed to the action of the gaze.
The structure of the performances is studied from time to time on site. Incursioni has a wide range of performative interventions, sometimes focused on the place and function of space, sometimes on the transformation of a specific building taking the form of an installation-event.
