About Us

Elvira Frosini and Daniele Timpano are authors, directors and actors of the Italian contemporary scene who have shared a common artistic path since 2008. In the numerous works produced in recent years, Frosini / Timpano bring their bodies on the stage that defuse, deconstruct and embody the narratives of History, analyzing the anthropological drifts of society starting from a vast material of various references (from academic to popular) which constitute the contemporary imagination and consciousness. Their texts bring to the scene a complex theatrical device in which the actors-authors are always in dialogue with the public and in the balance between the incarnation of characters, contemporary and cultural mythologies, topoi of history, and the simple being on the scene and putting his perturbing relationship with History and culture on the field, in a game of unsettling slips that desecrate all rhetoric without making discounts, not even to themselves. "Our dialogue with the public is based on co-existence with the spectators, on what we share with you, here, today: the same hypocrisy, the same clichés, the same fears, the same neuroses, the same fate."

Their works have been represented in the most important theaters, festivals, and performative contexts in Italy and abroad.

Among the shows before their collaboration we mention: Dux in scatola (2006) finalist at the Scenario and Vertigine Awards, published by Coniglio in 2006 and by Hystrio in 2008, and Ecce robot!
