In our beautiful Italy, between the two wars, a wonderful statesman flourished in Italy: Benito Mussolini. Let's make a collective imagination effort: make sure it's me. Dead.

An actor - only on stage with the only company of a trunk that is passed off as containing the mortal remains of "Mussolini Benito" - tells firsthand the dramatic events of the body of the Duce, from Piazzale Loreto in '45 to burial in the cemetery of San Cassiano di Predappio in '57. The post-mortem adventures of the excellent corpse are intertwined with pieces of literary texts from the Twenties (Marinetti, Gadda, Malaparte ...), clichés about fascism, among the most disparate materials from neo-fascist websites, in an attempt to trace Mussolini's path in the the imagination of Italians, from the years of consent to those of nostalgia.
